The 4 port controller ICP5045BL has support for next gen PCIe connectivity technology and SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) and SATA (Serial ATA) drives. It delivers high performance and affordability for users that need storage flexibility. This port controller's RAID levels include JBOD, 60, 50, 10, 6, 5EE, 5, 1e, 1 and 0. It also features Snapshot Backup and Copyback Hot Spare functions. Its form factor is in the MD2 low profile range and will efficiently fit into various servers such as blade, high density and rack mount servers. The ICP5045BL controller leverages high capacity and cost effective SAS and SATA drives or together, in one simplified storage system. Users can likewise scale up to a maximum of 60 TB by using 500 GB drives to enhance the performance of SAS and SATA storage with the ICP5045BL device. This tool can be used by small to mid range servers and workstations.

The ICP5045BL device supports the Microsoft Windows operating system platforms XP, Vista, Server 2003 and 2000, the (RHEL) RedHat Enterprise Linux and the (SLES) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
